SBT 2013

Sooo...yeah I know that I have been TERRIBLE about keeping up this year. And yes, I realize that was one of my goals for the year. ugh. Life got it in the way. Between grading over winter and now running 2 observatories (one for research) and one planetarium(sort of anyways) and being in classes and church and all I have just been trying to keep my head above water. But school is about done for the semester, and all I will have is research, so hopefully I will be back a little more.

Okay for those who don't know there is a site called New LDS Fiction that gives a shout out to LDS authors and their new books. In the summers they sponsor a thing called the Summer Book Trek (see here). To participate you have to post your book list. So here is mine:

1. Above Rubies by Jaclyn Hawkes

2. Outer Edge of Heaven by Jaclyn Hawkes

3. Essence of the Heart by Daris Howard

4.The Kiss of a Stranger by Sarah M. Eden

5. Royal Target by Traci Hunter Abramson

6. Do Over by Shannon Guymon

7. Freefall by Traci Hunter Abramson

8. The Broken Road by Shannon Guymon

9. A Bid for Love by Rachel Ann Nunes

So these are a few of my ideas of what I will probably read before the end of July. :)

A New Semester

And so today marks the beginning of a new semester!!! I am currently off track. This means that while school is in session, I am not taking classes. Though I will begin in taking classes again in April. This isn't anything unusual, but how my schedule is every year. Weird, I know, but that is how my university rolls apparently. :)

So, since I am not taking classes, I am working (and looking for another job). This semester I get to TA a beginning algebra-based physics class. I will be doing all of the homework grading, as well as teaching and grading the lab portion of the class for half of the students. I am super nervous because I have never taught a class like this before. AHHH!!!

Also, tonight I have been asked to start helping run the Astronomical Society. I am pretty excited about this. They are even trying to get the funds together to allow us to go visit the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City. That would be amazing! :)

I just found out that the Physics Department is adding an emphasis option to the major! And they have an Astronomy Emphasis. :D The funny part is I have already taken one class needed, and was planning on one of the others that is needed. Also, the third class needed is a brand new class starting next winter semester. So I kinda was already planning on doing the emphasis, now it will help in my academics! :)

So some good news all around!  Now to finding another job (I really hope!!!) And hopefully I will be able to write tomorrow about the fantastic weekend we had! :)

Bucket List for 2013

Okay so I started writing down some resolutions for this year...and realized how unlikely that I will complete them if they are set up like that.  Then, I got a message on my last post to check out this blog post. It is about creating a bucket list for the year rather than resolutions. And after seeing my sister do this on her blog (see here), I decided, why not try it.

So here is my Bucket List for the year:

So I will do my best to keep you all updated on how I am doing on these and any new ones that come to mind.

Have a wonderful day!!! :)

Crafty Pay It Forward

So I have seen this idea on a few places (like this blog, facebook, etc.) and have been playing with the idea of doing it as well. And well I have finally decided to do it.

So this is what is up, be one of the first three people to comment on this post and I will give you a sweet little something. It will be made especially for you!

The fine print:
  • Within a year (it'll be sooner than later), I’ll create something unique to share with the first three people to comment on this post.
  • But, in order to receive your present you have to play along. Spread the love on your own blog promising to send a little special something to the first three people who comment on your post.
  • You get 72 hours to re-post, or I’ll have to move on to the next person.
Ok. So these are the rules set forth by somebody somewhere back in the links of links of links.

So please leave me a comment about whatever and don't forget to Pay It Forward! :)
<3 Hugs!

I must be crazy....

It is true...I have to be crazy.  I am going to try and build my own website to sell my jewelry...

See, I told you I am crazy.

I have decided I need to do something with all the bead work that I have been doing, and selling it on etsy hasn't been working. So I am gonna give it a go on my own. So I decided to try my hand at my own website to sell it...I have no idea how this is gonna work, but I am gonna try...

Bahhh!!

hahaha Bit over dramatic?

Love!
